November 2019

£4.75 incl tax

We've been waiting a long, long time to see what the new Land Rover Defender looks like. And now it's finally out there, we can't deny that the November issue of 4x4 might contain a little bit about what we think of it. But mainly, what matters is what YOU, our readers, make of the vehicle - and there's no other place to go for a true cross-section of what Britain's off-roaders and Land Rover enthusiasts reckon to Solihull's new star.

If Jeeps are more your thing, check out the 5-Quarter - an amazing concept truck based on the forthcoming Gladiator pick-up. And if you like your off-roaders to be as bonkers as possible, there's nothing to match the Lamborghini LM002 - we've got the full history of the supercar-engined monster which, in its own crazy way, may just have been 30 years ahead of its time.

Driving across Sudan in a modern Range Rover might sound crazy, too, but we've got the tale of a couple who did just that. And there's another kind of overland vehicle featured this month, too – one of the very best Toyota Landcruisers you'll ever see.

We've tested the modern Landcruiser, too, in 3-door commercial form. And we've also had our first drive of Isuzu's new D-Max XTR - whose lifted suspension, taller tyres and bigger brakes make it the most capable pick-up the company has yet created.

So whatever your taste in off-roaders might be, there's something here for you.
